I cannot describe the love and joy I feel when L does something she has been observing since birth but only now can put together independently. Tears of joy come to my eyes every time I hear that little voice say, "Thank you." I'm helping her become so polite. She really likes to say ,"Thank you" for other people when they forget, which is even greater for me knowing that she will have every bit of attitude and sarcasm that her mama can have.
There have been many times over the last several months that tears have come to my eyes when L does something big. She cleaned up her dinner plate, tears. She told me, "Bye bye" with no tears, tears from me. When I asked, "Would you like me to rock you?" she responded, "Rock you," more tears. Seeing how much of the crib she takes up, tears.
Now here's my question, is this normal? Do all mamas go through this while their babies grow?
